At The Bottom by Brand New

For today, I have a little reason I chose this song. It is a rather mellow and, I feel, echo-y song, which kind of describes my mood. But at 2 minutes and 45 seconds into the song, there’s a part where it seems to break melody and fall apart, only to just a short moment later, pull itself together. Tonight, I listened to this on my car ride back to the apartment, and that part allowed my mind to ease and rest. To fall apart and not hold stable like it’s done for the past few weeks. Fall apart isn’t the right word. Rather “loosen” is possibly the best one I can think of. Just something that helped. This is special to me, because in the past months, that part meant something completely different to me. It was the part that represented how my mind was. I was completely breaking. My mind was scattered and just lost. This part of the song represented that. It represented how I was trying to pull myself together. How I was trying to come back to sanity from my manic depression. That is why I chose this song tonight.
